Joanne T. McRoberts

Joanne T. McRoberts, age 59, of New Milford, died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday October 10, 2010. She is the wife of David C. McRoberts. Mrs. McRoberts was born July 18, 1951 in Bronx, New York a daughter of the late Walter and Therese (D'Onofrio) Riebling. She was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy, Bronx, New York and received a bachelor's degree in marketing from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, New York in 1973. Mrs. McRoberts was employed as a medical office manager and medical secretary in several doctors offices in the area for many years. Her favorite past time was going to the beach. In addition to her husband of 24 years, Mrs. McRoberts is survived by two daughters, Jill Quinn and her husband Benjamin of Meriden, and Meridith Jackson and her husband Brian of Sandy Hook; a brother John Riebling and sister-in-law Anna Riebling of Long Valley, NY; three grandchildren Penelope and Wally Jackson and Connor Quinn; two nephews Mark and Christopher Riebling. As well as her Aunt Mary and many other cousins in the tri-state area. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church, New Milford on Friday afternoon at 1pm. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Sherman.
