Edward Reiner Obituary
Edward M. Reiner, Jr. of Valhalla, NY and New Milford, CT was a victim of a robbery and killed on September 29, 2014 at a convenience store in Lumberton, NC. He was in Lumberton on business at the time of his death. He was the son of Jo Ann Marra Reiner of Valhalla, NY and New Milford, CT and the late Edward M. Reiner, Sr.
Edward was born on October 6, 1960 in Yonkers, NY and grew up in Valhalla, NY. He went on to serve proudly in the United States Army Rangers. He brought a smile to everyone he met. He had a knack for telling stories and making his audience feel like they were the only ones in the room. Who ever knew Ed loved him, His laugh was contagious.
Ed had the ability to accomplish anything. He was a plumber by trade but had knowledge of everything from auto mechanics, carpentry, and electronics. He started his own business while in Connecticut remodeling bathrooms, kitchens etc.
We will forever remember his infectious personality and loving ways. We all love you and miss you, Ed! Heaven is a better place now that you are there.
Besides his father, Edward was predeceased by his brother, Robert "Rick" Reiner.
Besides his mother, survivors include his brother and sister-in-law: Thomas & Cheryl Reiner of New Fairfield, CT. Cousins: Patricia and Anthony DiDomenico of Danbury, CT. Nephew: Thomas Reiner Jr. of Calhoun, Ga.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Peter Church, Danbury, with the Rev. Gregg Mecca, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY at the convenience of the family.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2pm-6pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.

I miss you every day, I can never tell you how much. I am so proud to be your brother. I looked up to you all my life, you were my idol, my hero, my big brother. I hate that you left me. You Missed so much of my life.

Jo Ann, words can't express my sympathy that I feel for you. We've been friends since grammar school and high school and to-date.
My heart is broken to hear about Edward. Why is it "the good die young"? Surely God has a plan we do not yet know..but someday we will know why!
