Terry (Jones) Sullivan, 76, passed away unexpectedly May 14, 2015. The wife of the late Robert (Bob) L. Sullivan, she was the mother of 6 and grandmother of 5. Terry was born on November 22, 1938 in Baldwin, New York.
In addition to her husband Bob, she was predeceased by her daughter Kimberly. She is survived by daughters Betty Ann Slanaker, Mary Sullivan, Erin Sullivan; sons Edward Sullivan and Tim Sullivan; and grandchildren Tex, Margaret, Brigid, Eliza and Jack.
She lived life as all should, to the fullest. She celebrated the best of it, and shared the hard moments to ease pain and find the path forward. In the kind of country store she loved, a common sign reads, "Live, Love, Laugh." As a true reflection of who she was, and what we all knew her to stand for, the full statement should read: "Live, Love, Laugh and Give!" For that is the true essence of who she was, what she stood for, and what she would want from all of us…to the best of our ability.
Calling hours are Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 9:30am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Harwinton, CT. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bethel, CT.
