Helen Circosta Obituary

Helen Circosta, 88, a 50 year resident of Pleasantville, NY, passed peacefully, surrounded by her children on Nov 13th. Born in Martone, Reggio Calabria, Italy. She immigrated to the USA in 1942. She married George M. Circosta in 1946. A former Yonkers resident Helen was an accomplished seamstress and had retired from Helen Whiting in 1985 after 27 years. She was a devoted Mother, friend and homemaker. Helen was also an avid gardener and an amazing cook. She took enormous pride in her children and grandson .She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Holy Innocents and Our Lady of Pompeii. Through out the years she was active in her community and church. She was predeceased by her husband, George M Circosta in 1969. She is survived by her son George M Circosta Jr., daughter, Ann Circosta Lena, son in-law Bobby Lena and her pride and joy, grandson Robert A Lena. She is also survived by her devoted Sister-in law, Marianna Circosta of Yonkers NY, her niece Rose Calvi, her nephews Michael, Rocco and George Circosta and numerous great nieces, great nephews and great- great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours Friday 2 to -4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 AM, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Pleasantville, NY. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers, NY. In lieu of flowers donations to: Regional Hospice of Western Ct 405 Main St Danbury CT 06810 would be appreciated.
