Regina Eddington Obituary

Regina Marie (Nina) Lopez Eddington died suddenly and unexpect- edly at her home in Mill Valley, Calif. on October 8, 2010. Nina was born July 5, 1962 in Queens, N.Y. She was the second of three daughters to Joan B. Lopez and A. Peter Lopez. The family moved to New Milford, in 1975 and Nina graduated from New Milford High School in 1980. While at NMHS, she was a member of the gymnastics team and a leader in organizing school social activities. After high school, Nina attended Goucher College in Towson, Md. and graduated in 1984 with a degree in American Studies. After college, Nina took a position with Bristol-Meyers-Squibb where she established a successful career as a marketing representative. She moved to Philadelphia, where she met her husband, Thomas Eddington. The couple married 1991 and had two children, a son, Andrew born in 1992 and a daughter, Laney born in 1994. Between 1998 and 2002, the family relocated to England where Nina devoted herself to raising her children and creating a beautiful home. She served as president for the American club and traveled extensively throughout Europe. They returned to the US in 2002 and settled in Mill Valley, Calif. Nina quickly became recognized as a vibrant part of the Marin community. I still miss you my sweet friend, everyday. Even after all these years. You were not supposed to leave so soon. What does one do when one never planned on getting older with you gone. :/ no more long conversations about life; no more giggles and laughs over our quirky plans about our lives; no more outrageous dreamed up escapades to obscure places in the world. So much left unfinished. We must meet again my dear friend, on the next round. So we can continue laughing, dreaming up mischievous escapades and giggling till the sun comes up each day. Miss you dearly my love. Always.

A tribute to Sisterhood:

Sisters are the part of us for which we will always be grateful. They know when to support us, when to console us and when to annoy us.
Yet, there is always that bond between us.

Sometimes they are just like us and other times we wonder how they could have come from the same parents.
Yet, the bond persists.

Sisters share the unique experiences of growing up together, only later we discover the differences those experiences had on us.
Yet, it only serves to strengthen the bond.

Eventually, sisters are separated, sometimes for no apparent reason. Yet, the bond will forever be with us.

Dear Julie
