John J. McLoughlin

John J. McLoughlin, age 69, of New Milford, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at home. He was the husband of Margaret Major McLoughlin. Mr. McLoughlin was born in New York City, October 5, 1940, son of the late Michael and Kathleen O'Brien Mc Loughlin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of Manhattan College, New York. Mr. McLoughlin worked in the pharmaceutical business all his life, and was Director of Sales for Soft Gel Technologies of California for 15 years. He was the loving husband of Margaret "Gretta", devoted father of Jennifer of Trumbull, CT, Kevin of New Milford, Michelle of Yorktown, NY and Danny of New York City and loving grandfather to Michael, Anthony, Danielle and Isabelle. He is also survived by his sister Ann of New Jersey, cousins, nieces, and countless friends in the U.S. and Ireland. He was predeceased by his son Brendan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, New Milford. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery, New Milford. Friends may call on Thursday, May 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford.
