James William Fitzgerald

James William Fitzgerald, 77, of 255 Sandy Ridge Rd., completed his life's journey Sunday afternoon, (Oct. 16, 2005), at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville. He was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Nelson County, the son of the late Clinton Maywood and Florence I. (Vest) Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a retired carpenter. He attended Waynesboro Mennonite Church. Survivors include his wife Sarah A. Fitzgerald; three brothers, Gilbert, Harvey and Morris; two sisters, Elizabeth and Evelyn; and three stepdaughters, Gail Breeden and her companion, David Marshall, Connie and Marshall Mawyer and Beverly and Delano Campbell. As per his request, there will be no services, and his body was donated to science for medical research. Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro is in charge of arrangements.
