Ashby A. Garrison
Ashby A. "Peanut" Garrison, 61, of Williamsburg, went to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
He worked for James City County until he began his battle with cancer. He was a lifelong roofer who enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his best friend, Jerry Jarvis. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Melissa Jarvis Garrison; two daughters, Deborah G. Melton and Lissa J. Terrell of Williamsburg; one foster son, Gregory E. Fannan of Waynesboro, Virginia; his mother, Dorothy Garrison; three sisters, Ann Wells, Frances McClain and Betty, Aleshire; six grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Heather, Melissa, Sarah and Justin; two foster grandchildren, Sebastian and Kyler; one great-grandchild, Brayden.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Bucktrout Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Williamsburg Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at the funeral home.

I will miss you so very much Uncle Peanut!! My Uncle Peanut was a very dedicated family man, when my dad wasn't there for me Uncle Peanut stepped up with no hesitation. There is no man I respected more!!!
