Bryan D. Via CHURCHVILLE

Bryan Driver Via, 30, of Lone Fountain Lane, died on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

He was born on March 5, 1980, in Staunton, a son of Robert L. and Elizabeth (Driver) Via, both of Churchville and Vernon R. Vines Jr. of Staunton.

In addition to his parents, family members include a brother, Robert Lee Via II, and his children, Colby and Ashton Via of Staunton; two sisters, Michelle Via of Greenville and Lindsay Vines of Staunton; special aunts and uncles, Ruth D. and Dale E. Wrenn of Staunton, Noel and Greg Rhinehart of Edinburg, Julie and Scott Rhodes of Staunton; great aunts and uncles, Georgeanna Driver, Cora Lee Carroll, Farris Gwin, Colin and Dot Moyers; and special cousins, Wendy Wrenn Fitzgerald, David Wrenn, Brian Wrenn, Heather Walsh, Katie Rhodes and families.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas R. and Nancy W. Driver, David F. and Hazel M. Via, and Vernon R. and Nadine M. Vines; and a special aunt, Katherine D. Miller.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jeff Griffith. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Jim Carroll, Donald Cary, Mike Cary, Mike Botkin, Frank Davis, Curtis Rohr, Don Mace, Shannon Mace, and John Nuckolls.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Rob Marsh, Eric Nuckols, Chad Brown, Scott Vaughn, Chris Cary, Drew Cary, and Gary Roudabush.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or to the Kluge Children's Rehab Center, 2270 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903.

Im so sorry to hear of this. I met Bryan in middle school and he has always been a very kind, personable, and genuine guy! He will be greatly missed but never forgotten! Rest in Peace Bryan <3
