Annie “Cokey” Harriet Callison Sheets, 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her residence in Fishersville.
She was born on June 10, 1934, in Staunton to the late John Walker and Lily Harriet Tinsley Callison.
In her younger years, she enjoyed playing horseshoes and cornhole, always bringing friendly competition to any gathering.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, she spent twenty-five years at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, where she took pride in the work she did before retiring.
She was loved by many and will be remembered for her kindness and her warm heart.
She is survived by her sons, Glen Austin Sheets and Phillip Wayne Sheets; her daughters, Toni Marie Sheets Johnson, Cindy Diane Sheets Roberson and her husband, Gary, and Karen Lee Sheets Miller; her grandchildren, Daniel, Brandon, Lacey, Colin, Elizabeth, Dawn, and Darrell Sheets, Beth Moore, Stephanie Lilley, Timmy Stitzer, Jennifer Kite, Justin Lambert, and Christian and Corey Miller; numerous great grandchildren; and a special friend, Dorothy Cason.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton with Reverend Steven Henderson officiating.
Interment will immediately follow at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Corey and Christian Miller, Justin Lambert, Phillip, Colin, and Darrell Sheets.
