David Lee Bryant, 53, of Montebello, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born on December 3, 1972, in Waynesboro to the late Gorman Lee.

David was previously employed for several years with Brown & Root and Fairfield Bridge. Later in life, David took on the role of overseer of the family farm in Montebello. During this time, he also served as caretaker for his parents, ensuring they were cared for with dignity and love.

David was a simple man at heart, but his impact on those around him was anything but small. He had numerous friends and loved ones whom he willingly helped in various roles and jobs over the years, never hesitating to lend a hand. He loved being around people, enjoyed good conversation, and always had a story to tell.

He is survived by his siblings, Gregory Roberts and his wife, Crystal, Teresa “Missy” Weeks and her husband, Tony, and Melinda Campbell; his nieces and nephews, Trevor and Austin Roberts, Jessica Hildebrand, Matthew Weeks, and Nathan and Leanna Campbell; his great-nephews, Walker, Bryce, and Cameron; his aunts, Francis Rowe, Doris Bryant, and Phyllis Myrtle; his special pet, Whiskey; and many other extended family and friends.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by the loving parents that raised him as their own, Lester and Betty Roberts; and his brother-in-law, Jeremy Campbell.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Mount Paran Baptist Church in Vesuvius with Pastor Mike Coffey officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Mount Paran Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers are Douglas Bryant, Ricky Bryant, Hank Carr, Jeff Coffey, Austin Roberts, Nathan Campbell, Matthew Weeks, and Scott Carr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Roberts, Michael Carr, Curt Grant, and numerous other family and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the compassionate staff of Hospice of the Shenandoah for the care and support shown to David and his family.
