Daniel Eugene Woodard

Daniel Eugene Woodard, 56, of Fairfax Hall, Waynesboro, Virginia, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at his residence.

He was born on July 9, 1954, the son of Agnes McCarthy Woodard and the late Ephriam Leach.

He was an usher at Morning Star Baptist Church in Crimora, Virginia, and retired from Mastic as a grinder.

Surviving relatives include his mother, Agnes Woodard of Crimora, Virginia; one son, Gregory Scott Bell of Staunton, Virginia; three daughters, Lecrea Bell of Staunton, Virginia, Danielle Bell and Angie Woodard, both of Woodard, Virginia; three brothers, Mitch Woodard and his wife, Johanna of Stuarts Draft, Rob Woodard in Dillwyn, Virginia; deceased brother, Gregory McCauley; sister-in--law, Debbie McCauley of Staunton, Virginia; four sisters, Angel Woodard, Jessica Woods, Patsy Cabell and her husband, Stanley, all of Staunton, Virginia, and Fonda Medina of Fishersville, Virginia; four grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Reverend Joseph Walker officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the church one and half hours prior to the service.

Lewis Funeral Home of Waynesboro, Virginia, is in charge of the service.

So sorry to hear about Dan. I played baseball with him in little league & Babe Ruth. My dad & I would pick him up every game! That boy could hit a ball like the Babe! Just now found out about this. My sincere condolences.
