Kathleen Lee Boyers HARRISONBURG

Kathleen Lee Boyers, 83, formerly of Harrisonburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.

Mrs. Boyers was born on July 1, 1927, in Rockingham County, the daughter of the late Myrle H. and Gertrude Markham Earman.

She was a member of the Baptist church and a homemaker.

Her husband, Ralph W. Boyers, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Myrle H. Earman Jr. and James L. Earman; and a granddaughter, Amy L. Boyers.

She is survived by sons, Sam Boyers and his wife, Nancy, of Waynesboro, and Ed Boyers and his wife, Sue, of Lynchburg; a daughter, Bonnie Gordon and her husband, Tom, of Stanardsville; nine grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; a brother, Mark Earman and his wife, Bonnie, of Harrisonburg; sisters, Wanda Fitzgerald, of Harrisonburg, and Sally Layman and her husband, Joe, of Richmond; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Earman of Harrisonburg.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg with Pastor Brandon Williams and the Reverend Jeff Earman officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Decmber 27, 2010, at the Kyger Funeral Home.
