Robert G. Heizer STAUNTON

Robert Glenn "Bob" Heizer, 80, of Middlebrook Road passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Envoy Nursing Home of Staunton.

Robert was born December 6, 1928 in Augusta County, a son of the late Floyd D. and Estelle (Glover) Heizer.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Heizer was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Ellinger) Heizer, who passed away on February 26, 2009.

Mr. Heizer was a member of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church and was a retired dairy and beef farmer.

Mr. Heizer is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, R.G. Jr. and his wife, Nancy Heizer, Bill and his wife, Suzanne Heizer, Thomas and his wife, Lee Ann Heizer, all of Staunton, Dr. John and his wife, Mary Heizer, of Hagerstown, Maryland; a daughter, Ann E. Heizer of Staunton; four brothers and sisters-in-law, James F. and Betty Heizer of Greenville, W. Lynn and Doris Heizer of Staunton, Joe C. and Shirley Heizer and Sam L. and Ann Heizer, all of Middlebrook. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Carrie and her husband, John Kelley Kiser, of Middlebrook, Cole and Ben Heizer, Sarah and Andrew Heizer, all of Staunton and Patrick and Shane Heizer of Hagerstown, Maryland; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kiser of Middlebrook, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009, at the Mount Tabor Cemetery by the the Reverend Jo Ann Bunn.

The family will receive friends at his residence at anytime.

It is suggested those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
