Joseph 'Joe' Henry Bailey, 76

MILLSBORO - Joseph "Joe" Henry Bailey of Millsboro departed this life on Friday, April 13, 2007, in his home in Millsboro, Delaware. Surrounded by family. He was 76.

Mr. Bailey was born April 7, 1931, son of the late James Bailey and Maggie Ann Mitchell Bailey of Cape Charles, Virginia.

He was unable to finish his education because of the need to help out the family. But even though he had minimal education, he was still able to become a successful lawn care business owner for more than 31 years, as well as a supervisor at Townsend's Inc. for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 27 years, Emma Margaret "Debbie" Thompson Bailey; two sisters, Betty Bailey and Maggie Hall.

He leaves four daughters and three sons-in-law, Melissa Bailey and Dortan Bridell with whom he lived, Melinda Bailey and Carl Wright, Celina Snead and her devoted friend, Lennel Ayers and Linda and Anthony Hatchett; a brother, Clarence Bailey; and a sister, Connie Robinson of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren, Tylissa, Debra, Degbra, Lesslie, Aubre, Star, Amber, Christin, Carla, Deja and Robert; seven great-grand children, Shawn, Jaylyn, Michael, Christian, Jamie, Curtis and Aniles; two nephews-in-law, Kenneth Frazier and Curtis Fuhr; two dear friends, James "Chief" Chandler and Bartola "BigLoader" Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro where friends may call two hours earlier.

Pastor Neil Murray from the Lighthouse Christian Center, Seaford, will officiate.

Burial, will be in the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, Millsboro.

Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro.

I have so many memories with my Poppop Joe. He used to feed me and my lil sister Tums or rolaids like it was candy
I remember him always spoiling us rotten and he loved us so much he called me "Debbie Dee" lol Poppop I miss you so much and I'm grateful for the time I shared with you but I wish we had more time..I know you are up there in a better place with My Mom mom Debbie.. You guys were the BEST GRANDPARENTS any grandchild could have. I love you and I will NEVER FORGET YOU
