Jeffrey L. Fletcher

MILFORD - Jeffrey L. Fletcher, Sr. passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012, at his home. Jeff was born on February 21, 1955, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., son of the late Jack K. Fletcher and Margaret E. (Collins) Calvanesa. He was employed in environmental service for Kraft Foods in Dover for 22 years, retiring in 2002. Jeff was also employed as the care taker for Barratts Chapel in Frederica from 1990 - 1999. Jeff loved hunting, four wheeling and watching Nascar racing and was also an avid fan of the Phillies and the Eagles. In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Lynn Fletcher. He is survived by four sons, George Pierce and his wife Jennifer of Dagsboro, Jeffrey L. Fletcher, Jr. of Fenwick Island, John Paul Fletcher and his wife Amy of Milford, and Joey Fletcher of Milford; two daughters, Pamela Elizabeth Fletcher of Texas and Jennifer Fletcher of Fenwick Island; his mother and step-father, Margaret E. and James Calvanesa of Milford; a brother, J. Ken Fletcher, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Bonita Springs, Fla.; a sister, Sonja Cabral and her husband Michael of Oley, Pa.; and four nephews. Friends may call from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2012, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford. Burial will follow the service at Barratts Chapel Cemetery in Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Special Olympics Delaware, University of Delaware, 619 S. College Ave, Newark, DE, 19716.
