Patricia Moffett Hopkins, 74
SALISBURY - Patricia Moffett Hopkins, of Salisbury, and formerly of Cambridge, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, in Salisbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 74. Born on April 1, 1934 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Howard H. Moffett and Jessie Moore Moffett. Having been raised in Easton, she was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1952. Pat, as she was known, was the treasurer of the senior class, a cheerleader, member of the Glee Club and director of Saturday Night Recreations. Following graduation she had attended a modeling school for a year in Wilmington, Del. Pat then pursued her desire to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She had worked at a few facilities and her last employment was at Glasgow Nursing Home in Cambridge. Pat retired in 1983 due to illness. Pat was a true Washington Redskins fan. Her hobbies included gardening and being an avid collector of lighthouses, angels, Precious Moments, and Snoopy characters. She also liked to collect anything related to waterfowl and items representing the Eastern Shore. Surviving is her companion, William C. Hampton of Easton; eight children, William Stevens "Steve" Hopkins and his wife Susan of Oxford, Mary "Meezi" H. Goodwin of Salisbury, Sally M. Hopkins of Seaford, Del., Sandra B. Hopkins of Marshall, Mich., Daniel M. Campbell Sr. and his wife Gayle of Trappe, John R. "Hop" Hopkins of Cambridge, Patricia "Patti" M. Hopkins and her companion Sam Brooks, of Cambridge, and Martha H. Allen of Church Creek; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn M. Turner and her husband Peter of New Jersey; two nieces; and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Anthony "Sonny" L. Allen,Jr. Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 22, in Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. Officiating at the service was The Rev. Samuel McWilliams. Cremation followed her service and the burial was held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the
