Eugene Cecil Obituary

FRUITLAND - Eugene Calvin Cecil, 74, of Fruitland, died Friday, May 19, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Arley H. Cecil and Gladys Shrieves Cecil.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. He was an avid shooter with the Tony Tank Rifle Club and had recently retired from Shore Transit, where he was a dispatcher for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris E. Cecil; a son, Gene R. Cecil of Salisbury; a sister, Arlene Miller; and three brothers, Earl Cecil, Jesse Marshall and George Marshall.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.

To the family of Mr. Cecil, I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Cecil at Shore Transit for many years, he was sadly missed when he retired. My prayers go out to his wife and family members may God be with each of you in time of sorrow.
