Dorcas Cox Obituary

COX, DORCAS L. "PAT" Dorcas L. Cox, a lifelong resident of West Haven passed away March 30, 2011 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1932, daughter of the late Frank and Dorcas Little. For many years she worked for Elmco Oil Company and later as a local real estate agent. She was an avid reader. Her friends and family in Connecticut and Sarasota, Florida, where she stayed during the winter season, gave her great joy. You could also count on a smile in either state between 5 and 7pm. She loved the beach, her gardens and the morning sun. She leaves her son Greg and his wife Kim of Branford, her sisters Carol (Bill) Hackett of West Haven and Marge (Walt) Kirchofer of Morristown, NJ and Venice, Florida. Her sons John, Steve and James predeceased her as well as her brother Frank Little. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in care of the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. For online condolences please visit www.westhavenfuneral.com
