Eight years. The time sure does go by fast. Hoping Ernie and Dottie are enjoying themselves and may their days be peaceful.

Dearest Ernie,
I know that you are bowling between rounds of golf. Aunt Dottie's peanut tree flourishes and there are bowls of ice-cream for all. Memories of you two holding hands in the car when you came to visit and the way you looked at each other are just like yesterday.
We miss you, Ernie. Your suffering is over. Ours will be with us for awhile.
We love you.

When I was growing up, Uncle Ernie always brought ice cream cake when he came to visit. I will always remember that. I hope that his children find comfort in their own special memories. Rest in peace, Uncle Ernie.
