David McLellan Obituary

McLELLAN, DAVID M. David M. McLellan, 56, of Milford, passed away at the CT Hospice on June 27, 2012. He was the husband of 33 years to Lynnette Ahrens McLellan. Born in New Haven on September 23, 1955 to the late Edmond J. McLellan and Evelyn Erickson McLellan of Hamden. Besides his wife and mother, David leaves his three children, David C. McLellan of Orange and Daniel P. and Shannon L. McLellan, both of Milford; brother, Thomas McLellan and his wife Maria and nephew Ryan, all of Wallingford. He was predeceased by his brother, Tim McLellan. David grew up in North Haven before moving to Milford 28 years ago to raise his family. For 34 years he worked a variety of jobs at the Regional Water Authority and was a member of the Steel Workers Union. As an active father he had coached both his sons in hockey for numerous seasons. He was a huge fan of the Rangers, the Giants, and the Yankees. His pride and joy was his deck, built with the help of friends. Many impromptu parties were held with family and friends at "Dave's Tiki Bar". Friends may visit with his family on Sunday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Contributions in David' s memory may be sent to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. To send a condolence to the family, please see obituary at www.beecherandbennett.com
