OBUHANICK, PATRICIA HAYDEN Patricia Obuhanick, age 89, of West Haven, passed away with her loving family at her side on Friday June 19, 2015. Patricia “Pat” was born in Long Branch, NJ on July 27, 1925, daughter of the late Howard and Henrietta Hayden. She was a Yale graduate, with a degree in Fine Arts. While she attended Yale, she meet a sailor, Peter Obuhanick, and they married on June 17, 1945. They moved to West Haven and raised their children, Patricia (James) Innamorato, Paula (Joseph Esposito) Wood, Penny (Anthony) Denos, Pamela (James) Fenick, Peter (Linda) Obuhanick, Paul (Laurie) Obuhanick and the late Philip “Michael” Obuhanick. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and her niece Laurie Hayden Carley. She was also predeceased by her husband Peter Obuhanick and her brother Howard K. Hayden. Pat was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Altar Guide at the former St. John’s by the Sea, a longtime member of the Kaleidoscope quilting group, an avid reader and the best soup maker. Pat will be sadly missed by her family. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral precession will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9:30 for a funeral services at 10am in the Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
