GEORGE FRACASSE Obituary

FRACASSE, GEORGE PHILIP SR George Philip Fracasse Sr., of Hamden, passed away August 8, 2015 in Connecticut Hospice. He is the husband of Mary Mullen Fracasse. George was born in New Haven April 22, 1930 and was a proud US Army veteran, serving at Fort Riley, KS during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Yale University, Class of 1952 with a degree in engineering. George retired as an Outside Plant Facilities and Engineering Manager from S.N.E.T after 40 years and later returned to the company as a consultant. He loved his family, Yale, and New Haven. He was an avid violinist and hockey fan. He is the father of George (Loretta) Fracasse Jr. and James (Tracy) Fracasse. Brother of the late Judge Ronald Fracasse. Loving grandfather of George III, Rebecca, and James Fracasse Jr. Funeral from the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME INC. 11 Wooster Place, Wednesday at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-7pm. I had the privilege of working for George in 1970. It was my first job and I had a LOT to learn. He had so much patience, even when I forgot what he told me yesterday. I loved working for him and it was a pleasure to come to work. Goodbye, my friend and mentor.
