Dave was the minister in the Congregational Church in Old Saybrook, CT all through my youth. He was always a very loving, kind, caring man to everyone, and he was a great help to my family. He was a great influence on me, and example to me, of how a Christian should live. He also officiated at my sister's wedding, and I always have fond memories of him. God bless Dave, his faithful servant, and God bless his family.

So very sad to hear of Dave's passing, so many years ago. It was reposted on Facebook just recently. Dave was a vert big part of my life and my families life. He believed in me and my wife's marriage when no one else did. He mentored me like a father would. He knew my tough up bringing and was there for me. The day Dave officiated over my wedding was the best day of my life. Married 42 great years and still going strong. He was there for my sons baptisms and many of our friends weddings. He was a great Reverend, mentor and friend. Never will we forget him. We so missed him when he left our church. Condolences and love to his family. Paul and Vicki Dorothy. (Old Saybrook)

David demonstrated the utmost kindness to me and my family during our first meeting with ICPC. Through the years Dave and Ellen were gracious and self-sacrificing. I regret not have written before now but his memory will live on in me and my family. Our prayer is for continued strength for Ellen and the family.
