I had last seen/known David at Ryerson Elementary School. He was the cutest boy in class and so many girls had a crush on him. I just happened to be typing in different schoolmates' names from the past tonight on FB this evening and several people came up with the same name. I then decided to "google" David's name followed by Wayne and came across this devastating news which just occurred earlier this year! My deepest condolences to David's family and friends. There are no words!! I am glad he grew up to be a wonderful human being!

Aunt Alice, Ry, Rich and Chris:
I love you all very much and will always be here. Thank you, Aunt Alice, for fighting for my uncle and loving him until his last moments on this earth and beyond. Boys- please remember that I am here for you always and let your dad's example guide you as you all become men. Your dad loved you all beyond words.
My Uncle Dave led by example. He didn't need words, for his actions spoke so much louder than words ever could. He had quiet dignity and class, was a gentleman and a man of principle and of values- hard work, respect, compassion, service, loyalty. His example will always guide me, and the wisdom he shared with me is imprinted in my heart and mind forever. He had an incredibly good soul and was a wonderful man.
And he was also my uncle, who I have shared so much of my life with- so many really good, fun moments- since I was a child, who was always there for me and shared knowledge and perspective with me that he had gained over a lifetime. I feel so grateful that I was able to become closer to you, Uncle Dave, over these past few years, and so sad that I won't be able to continue to- that I can't just pick up the phone and call you and talk to you for awhile. I can't express how much I am going to miss you. I feel so incredibly blessed to have had you for an uncle throughout my life. You always made me feel very loved. I can still hear you saying "Hey Meggy"- the only one who has ever called me that and the only one who ever will.
I hope that you know how much I love you. I hope you know how much everyone loves you. Please hug grandpa for me, and both of you please help us to see and to do what's right and what's just; please hold our hands tight and guide our feet gently down life's path.
I miss you so much, Uncle Dave. I love you.
Love,
Meggy

"I sought my soul, but my soul I could not see. I sought my God, but my God eluded me. I sought my brother and I found all three." -
I miss you so much Dave...if everyone had the honor of having a brother like you, the world would be a much better place. Rest easy hon, and give Dad a great big hug from me...you will remain in my heart, always. I love you.
