RUMMEL
Doris "Pat" Simpson Rummel, 89, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. She was a 44 year member of Calvary Baptist Church, Latonia and a member of the homemakers. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Ken Rummel; brother Alvin Simpson; sister Frances Medlen and stepson David Rummel. Survivors include her sister Jeanne Wilson of Cincinnati; stepsons Rob Rummel of Newport, Larry Rummel of Hendersonville, NC and Jim Rummel of Arcata, CA; and many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation 10 - 11 AM Saturday, March 23, 2013 and funeral 11 AM all at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, LATONIA. Interment Landmark Memorial Gardens, Evendale, OH. Memorials to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 7388 Turfway Rd. Florence, KY 41042 or to Calvary Baptist Church, 3711 Tibbatts St. Latonia, KY 41015. I met Pat while dating Jim in high school. She was a special woman to take on those four boys! A very caring mother-in-law for me.
