LORENZ
Joey Lorenz, 23, of Covington KY, was born into heaven on Sunday, March 16, 2014. He was to graduate Morehead State University in May with a degree in Elementary Education. A lively spirit, Joey brightened the day of everyone he met. A beloved son of Ted and Mary Lorenz, dear brother to Mike (Vicki) Lorenz, Danny (Ashley) Lorenz, and uncle to Charlie Lorenz. Grandson of Frank and Rosemary Pletikapich, great-grandson of Betty Lorenz, nephew to Jim and Donna Lorenz, Cindy and Jim Metz, Mark and Peggy Lorenz, Ken and Jackie Mueller, Martha and Jeff Roth, John and Judy Pletikapich, Bill Pletikapich, Margie and Chris Brown, Greg and Karen Pletikapich. He is also survived by a large extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held at Scott High School Commons from 5 PM to 8 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014. Mass will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 12 PM with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. We are so sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know him personally but he was our daughters student teacher at Rodburn Elementary. Her name is Madison and she talked of Mr. Lorenz constantly and how much fun he made science class. She really liked the cupcakes he made and brought in for science class. He made quite the impression what short time he was here.

I had the privilege of meeting Joey once, and would see him around Morehead's campus and at the BCM. He made a impression on everyone he met. I was so sad to hear about what happened, and words can not express how sorry I am for your family. Joey was truly an amazing person, and will be missed dearly.

Joey was such an amazing person. I don't know a soul, who had the pleasure of meeting him, that had a bad thing to say about him . So many kind thoughts and words from so many people, a true testament to his character. Such an incredible life taken entirely too early. Reminding us that everything must happen for a reason. You will be dearly missed Joey and all of us are better for have knowing you. We love you, please watch over us.

We are sorry for your loss, my wife and I did not know Joey but our son talked about him constantly, he was Haydens student teacher at Rodburn and had quite an impression on him,I take my son to school of a morning and we would have to time it so he could walk in with Mr Lorenz if anyway possible, so again we are very sorry for your loss but I don't think Joey will ever be forgotten in the Carpenter household.Here is just one person that son touched while he was here.
