Michael Clenney Obituary
Michael Kevin Clenney of Burlington, KY born August 31, 1958 died unexpectedly April 14, 2016. He is preceded in death by his mother Anna Faye Clenney (Judge) and his nephew Kyle Joseph Simmons. His is survived by his children Mac Clenney of Cincinnati, OH, and Maggie Clenney of Lebanon, OH, his father Thomas G. Clenney, Covington, KY, sister Karen Clenney, Mason, OH, brother Todd Clenney (Doretta), Cincinnati, OH, sister Robin McCallister-Leland (Terry), Tallahassee, FL, and 8 nieces & nephews and 3 grand-nieces & nephews. A celebration of life will be held on May 1, 2016 at The Sanctuary 417 E. 6th St. Newport, KY. Family will receive visitors and friends between 5:30 - 7:00, with the memorial to begin at 7:00 o'clock. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Josephs Home http://www.stjosephhome.org/donate/ or 10722 Wyscarver Rd., Sharonville, OH 45241. Michael and I met on Facebook through a friend. We hit it off right away and shared stories of our lives, our families, our children. Although we had only talked on the phone and never met in person, I know he genuinely cared about me, about my son, about our well being. He was such a clever, funny man, but it wasn't just about the humor, he encouraged me through difficult times and made me laugh when all I wanted to do was cry. A few times, when I was at my lowest, he reminded me of how strong I was and told me I could overcome any obstacle, and because he believed it, so did I. He was a good and decent man and I will miss him dearly. He was so proud of his children and told me so over and over--you both were a bright sun in his sky. My heart goes out to his family and all those that love him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this sad time. May your hearts heal quickly and his legacy be one of love and laughter.
