William Westermeyer Obituary

WESTERMEYER

William "Bill" Westermeyer, 86, of Florence, passed away after a long illness at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport, KY on Tuesday, July 5th. He left his wife of 65 years, Mary Knox Westermeyer and 8 children, Tony of Chapin, SC, Todd of Paris, France, Ben of Independence, KY, Paul of Petersburg, KY, Roger of Centerville, OH, John of Bellevue, KY, Roberta (Robin) O'Connor of Park Hills, KY and Nicole Reblando of Cincinnati, OH; 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Oberschlake of Harrison, OH. Bill served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict on a destroyer. He retired from Trans World Airlines after 30 years, then worked at Boone Links for 20 years. He was an avid hunter, reader and storyteller. He will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at St. Henry Church at the convenience of the family.
