To Mrs. Connolly and family:

My sincere condolences to all of you during this difficult time. I will be praying for your strength. My mom (Mary Briggs) worked for you in the mid 90s and always talked about how nice your family was. I did get to meet Dr. Sean Connolly before my dad passed away (he came to our house). I will always remember him for that.

Words are not enough! I will miss Uncle Ed tremendously. He opened the door for me to start my career as a nurse practitioner and continued to mentor and support me wholeheartedly. He had the best bedside manner of any surgeon I know, and always knew his patients, staff and employees at Ochsner by name. The medical profession and our family will miss him for years to come....Love to all the family...Elizabeth F. Ellis,

What a wonderful and unforgettable man. My favorite memory of Ed was at my Mom and Dad's fiftieth wedding anniversary celebration. I had not seen Ed for at least 10 years. When I saw him at the church we shook hands and he then, uninvited, processed to examined a growth on my forehead. He identified whatever it was and told me not to worry it was not a big deal. Thoroughly profession, but such a spontaneous, caring and loving person!
Elise, I know you and your children will miss him but I am sure you all have had many wonderful years together. He has impacted the lives of many people. You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

Mrs. Connolly and children, words could never say the love I had for this great man and the love I had for the family for many years. He was the best boss and father figure to me. He always made me feel like a part of the family. After moving to ochsner baton rouge he would come check on me every time he was in town. Most recently still checked on me with my mom when he saw her at the clinic. He will always be in my heart. Thanks for all your kindness as well. Heaven will be a better place now with him there. Sincerely, Scarlet
