Karen Freeling Obituary

Karen Elizabeth Freeling passed away unexpectedly too soon the morning of Tuesday, December 31, 2013 while visiting her mother "Mimi" and sisters "Leenie" and "Chele" in Louisiana at the age of 49. She was born October 16, 1964, a New Orleans native, successful beauty shop owner at Nouveau Marc Retirement Home, hobbies included photography, dance, antiques and collection of many fine treasures. She moved to begin a new life in Broken Arrow, OK in 1996 where she enjoyed the naturally cool atmosphere. Her children and pets were everything to her and her exploits always included finding the best for them, she is dearly missed. Preceded in death by her father, Harry "Bud" Freeling; grandfather Joseph L. Aymami; Grandmothers Teresa R. Ernst Aymami and Lola Freeling Pizzolotta; Uncles Leonard J. Aymami, William J. Aymami, Michael J. Aymami, Ronald J. Aymami, "Bob" Ernst, "Ray" Rennison, Jerome L. Hymel; aunts Carolyn A. Aymami, "Isy" Ernst, "Bernie" Ernst Rennison, and "Millie" Ernst; She was survived by her mother Geraldine "Mimi" A. Herrera; children, Joshua, Jessica and all her four legged kids; her brother Charles "Chuck" J. Freeling wife Arlene; her sisters Michele "Chele" K. Freeling, Colleen A. Rafferty and Linda A. Freeling; nieces Tamara B. Sablan-Freeling, Chelby N. Freeling, Kaelin J. Hoag, and nephews Michael C. Freeling, and Stephen C. Sablan-Freeling; Uncle Lawrence P. Aymami and Alvin Timothy, Aunts Sylvia Freeling Flemming, Mary L. Aymami Hymel and Carol A. Aymami Timothy ; stepfather Alfred O. Herrera. Memorial Services will be held at Our Lady of Divine Providence 1000 N. Starrett Rd., Metairie, LA on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Karen's name to the charity of your choice.
