Joyce Marie Montreuil Weilbaecher

Joyce Marie Montreuil Weilbaecher passed away December 5, 2014 at the age of 90. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington, Louisiana since 1998. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Maurice O. Weilbaecher, Sr. M. D., her sister Beverly Montreuil Petit and her grandson James Henry Weilbaecher, Jr. She is survived by five children Joan Aucoin (wife of Camille J. Aucoin, Jr.), Jane LeBoeuf (wife of Richard P. LeBoeuf, Sr. M.D.), Joy Porter (wife of David J. Porter), Maurice O. Weilbaecher, Jr. M. D. (husband of Gail Robert Weilbaecher) and James Henry Weilbaecher, Sr. (husband of Susan Ginn Weilbaecher). She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Camille "Jay" Aucoin III, William Maurice Aucoin, Nicole LeBoeuf-Little, Richard P. LeBoeuf, Jr., Laura E. Porter, Rebecca Porter Lee, Bryan D. Porter, Jason Weilbaecher and Alyssa Weilbaecher. Great-grandchildren include Ashley Aucoin, Camille Aucoin IV, Sean Aucoin, Lauren Aucoin, Austin Aucoin and Jack Lee. Joyce loved all things "New Orleans" especially Mardi Gras and the French Quarter; she and Maurice were active in community affairs and medical associations during much of their lives, traveled frequently enjoying all fifty states and much of Europe. Most of all, Joyce loved family. We will miss her, but are grateful for the many years we enjoyed her generosity and love. A memorial service will be held Saturday December 27 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans, Louisiana with visitation at eleven and mass to follow at noon.
