Jacob Hair Obituary
Alexander Hair
STILLWATER, OK - Jacob "Jakie" Alexander Hair, 74, lost a hard-fought battle with Leukemia on August 26th, 2015.
Born in White Pond, South Carolina on August 31st, 1940, Jakie completed his B.S. and M.S. at Clemson University, then went on to Virginia Polytechnic University and completed his Ph.D. in the field of animal parasitology. Dr. Hair was a professor at Oklahoma State University between the years of 1967-1994. He became the CEO and Principal Researcher at Nu-Era Research Farms in 1982 and retired in 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Jana, and grandson, Trenton, both of the home; children, Kathy Hair Holsenback and Sheila Hair Fulmer, both of South Carolina; step-daughter Amy Key of Lubbock, Texas; and sisters, Polly Anna Hair Chapman and Sue Hair Roe, both of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Matthias Hair and Susie May Webb Hair; daughter, Deborah Jean Hair Wilt; brother, Samuel Marvin Hair; sisters, Sam Ella Hair Dukes, Marian Hair Smith, and Mary Frances Hair Wilson.

Another one of my childhood and teen friends has gone on to peace and greater heights. Memories of the younger Jakie came rushing back and again I wished that we could have all kept in touch during the years after high school. I smile as I read what well-deserved goals he attained and my prayers will be for his family and friends who have been so blessed to be a part of his life..
