Ted was the young man who while I was wondering around in the gym killing time while my dad Attilio, the head custodian worked encouraged me to shoot baskets! I never forgot his kindness.

I think about Ted often. He was there for me at a rather consequential time in my life, which included growing up and the passing of my father during my senior year. Ted was slow to praise, and I remember his criticisms more clearly
I do know that he helped me. For that. I will always be thankful.

Ah Teddy my oldest friend. It does not seem that long ago we met in kindergarten. Years flew by but our friendship held fast. High school, college, and then best man at your wedding. What an honor. As time went by you and your beloved Albi grew stronger in both your relationship, as a family with two fine sons, and most of all as a Christian a belief that had sustained you as man of the Lord throughout your life. Some would argue that you left this life too soon; I would be one of them. And yet it would seem that the Lord has other needs of you and so as you would say and have said many times, "I am in the hands of the Lord." And who are we to argue.
Farewell my friend and buddy. We will remember you in our prayers and know full well that you, in turn, will always be watching over us whose lives you have touched. Rest in peace knowing full well that you made a difference.

I had the honor of having Ted as a teacher & coach, worked with him as an administrator and shared many memorable moments as part of the Pascack Valley family. He was a gentle yet firm influence guiding 100's of Valley's students toward their future goals. A role model for all to emulate. I am a better person for having followed in his shadow. Thanks Mr. Blumenberg, you had a good run.

Teddy was always someone I looked up to since my childhood. Teddy would pick me up and horse around with me. I always thought he was the strongest guy. Teddy was like a brother instead of a cousin. Teddy's influence on my life made a huge difference to me. Teddy was a fine example of being a great husband, father, son, and christian.
Teddy will always be the star in my life. Your cousin, Lee Blumenberg

He coached the undefeated Wrestling team of '67, and although I was just a reserve wrestler, he went out of his way to make me feel I contributed. Mr. Blumenberg was a class act and will live in the hearts and minds of so many students who valued his kindness and direction.

Our family had the pleasure of living next door to Ted and his wife Albi for the past 19 years in Park Ridge. Ted was not just a neighbor but truly family to myself, my wife but most importantly my children.
Ted made certain that Christmas was special when my children were young - actually dressing as Santa. On Halloween he made certain to answer the door for my my three children with a big red nose.
Ted always found a way to come see my kids play sports and noted the following days box scores in the newspapers.
Ted and I had countless conversations at "the fence" speaking about our kids. Ted was incredibly proud of his sons, Scott and Ted, his daughter in laws Cheryl and Kim but most importantly his grandchildren Matthew, Michael,Luke and Holly.
He was always willing to offer advise, suggest a better way or just talk sports.... and for a Mets fan he was still a friend.
My kids would have to find a way to shovel his driveway without him noticing, often he got outside before they did.
My family is terribly saddened but Ted's passing. He will never be forgotten.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Blumenberg Family. I have such fond memories of Mr. B. from my years at PVHS. While I was never athletic, I come from a large family of very athletic sibs. Mr. B. used to love to tease me about this and told me he thought I must be adopted since I was so klutzy. Such a fun and caring guy, who impacted so many lives at PV. Rest in Peace.
