DANIELE Dominick P., 71, a life-long resident of Carlstadt, passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2011. Mr. Daniele was an Army Sergeant during the Vietnam War. For 23 years he was the Senior Director of Sales and Technical Support for MCI International in Ryebrook, NY and retired six years ago. Prior, he was the Marketing Director at Western Union International for five years, and for 13 years he was the Manager of Lease Channel Proposals for Precision Industrial Design. Dominick was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. Besides enjoying a very happy, successful career in the business world, Dominick's love of sports brought him down many roads of enjoyment. As a youth and adult, he enjoyed playing baseball and softball. He successfully became a bowling enthusiast, acquiring several awards for 300 games at Wallington Lanes, as well as High Scorer for the Bergen County Bowling Association. When Dominick wasn't actively participating in sports, he was sitting on the side-lines watching, cheering, yelling and screaming at the Yankees and Giants. Even though these pastimes were his favorites, he still found time on weekends to sneak in a little time to watch harness horse races, stop at Dee's to have a little coffee and a lot of conversation... and, even on occasion, found time to visit a craps table in Las Vegas or Atlantic City. Though Dominick received accolades both professionally and socially, the family life and love he shared with his wife and daughter was, by far, his greatest achievement. Beloved husband for 27 years of Carolyn L. (nee Plati) Daniele. Loving father of Myla A. Daniele. Devoted son of the late Dominic and Jennie (nee Pascale) Daniele. Dear brother of Paul Daniele and his wife Karren and Ray Daniele and his wife Roberta. Caring uncle of Christopher Daniele, James Daniele and Laura Marchante and her husband Yosuan. Funeral from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 10 AM and from St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford at 10:30 AM. Cremation East Ridgelawn Crematory, Clifton. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY, 13057-0007; or Hackensack Hospice, 25 East Salem St., Floor 3, Hackensack, NJ, 07601.

I am saddened to hear of Dom's passing. Carolyn, we met once when Dom had all of his staff over to your home for a holiday get-together. I have frequently reflected back on that warm memory and others I have while working in Dom's group at MCI. He was a truly kind and sincere man who showed a great love of life. He talked of both you and Myla frequently and I can only imagine the great hole his absence has left in your lives. My deepest sympathies for you during this time. Know that he was well loved by all that knew him.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Dom on his so sudden passing.
At MCI, Dom's sports chats with myself and others became a welcome daily morning ritual. Wherever his soul may rest, may he continue to enjoy his passion for the Rangers, Knicks, Giants and especially the Yankees.

Dom - Will never forget the old days of MCII when we didn't have meetings or something pressing our morning sports talks in Clive's room. You always had a smile and a "Harris, What's up my man?" Also no one had a first name in your world. It was Harris, Watson, Smith etc. But we would never had wanted it any other way! R.I.P. my friend.

Carolyn and Myla,
Unfortunately we didn't see much of Dom these past few years. My fondest memories are of our childhood, spending Sunday afternoons bowling at the Eclipse when they came to visit Grandpa Pascale.
Dom was the only one to ever call me CA, even though my name was Carolyn. ....and I liked it.
He was a great guy and he'll be missed.
Love to you both.....Cousin Carolyn & John (Ranone)
