Guy CITRO Obituary
Guy K., 68, a longtime resident of West Milford, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the NJ Veteran's Home in Paramus.
Born in Paterson, Guy was the son of Samuel and Mildred Citro. Raised in Pompton Lakes, he graduated from high school in 1964. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Returning home, he joined his father in business, helping him run Citro's Auto Body in Pompton Lakes. He ran the business until becoming ill in October of 2013.
Guy and his wife Susan settled in West Milford in 1970, where they raised three sons. When not running his business or caring for his family, Guy could be found fishing, golfing or in the stands at a West Milford High School Wrestling match. He was also an active member of the Pompton Lakes VFW and was past President of the NJ Autobody Association.
Guy is lovingly survived by his sons, Marc and his wife Alicia, Brian and his fiancé April Babcock, and Michael and his wife Lisa; his mother, Mildred Citro; his ex-wife, Susan Citro; his sister, Mary Ann Profeta and her husband Randy, and their family; and his grandchildren, Roman, Carson, Campbell, and Finley.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-6 pm at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pomp-ton Plains. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's RC Church, Pompton Lakes. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the Citro family.

I have known Guy since we were kids and you are really missed. We had Auto Body Shops in the same town, served on the ASAP Advisory Board and still remained friends. RIP my old Friend.

Dear Susan, Marc, Brian, Mike & family, we just heard of Guy's passing. I will always remember the good times and how all of you always opened your home to us, supported us and the wonderful memories all of you left with me. Our condolences and prayers.

From hanging out with "Rabbit", Terry and Guy at the Milk Barn and McCob's, we were always racing cars and Motorcycles. Yes, he was certainly always a gentleman, and also a wonderful friend. Many great memories come to mind of when we lived in New Jersey. I fondly recall how he amazed me with his knowledge of rock and roll music. He would hear a song, immediately tell you the name of it, who sang it and when it came out. When I listen to music from late 50's and 60's I always think of him. I send sympathy and love to all the Citro Family and especially Marc, Brian and Mike. You had a great dad and you made him proud.
