To the Galle Family - I am so sorry to hear that Marty has passed away. Marty and I worked together at Presto Lock and later on at ECI Technology. Throughout our careers we were each others "references". Later on we got together for lunch to discuss the good old days. I will miss talking shop with him.

All of my prayers are with you at this time. God bless you at this time of sorrow.

My deepest condolences to you and all members of the Galle family on your heart-felt loss. I was a friend and classmate of Marty at Manhattan Prep and Manhattan College. Marty was a good student, with a positive study and work ethic. He was an excellent athlete and one of the class weightlifters. Marty always saw the bright side and had a frequent smile beaming from his face.
During our college days, Marty was part of a large group of '64 Prepsters (plus new college chums) who politely "commandeered" a set of tables in the College Thomas Hall cafeteria so that any time during the school day, one could always go to that set of tables and find several of the "guys" around to talk, complain, pontificate and discuss the state of the world in the tumultuous 1960's.

As is so often the case, after college graduation the "gang" all went on their own ways, many like Marty, honorably serving our country in the Armed Forces, and then on to business careers. I am glad that in these intervening years Marty had the enduring gifts of the joy of a loving wife and family and the satisfaction of a successful business career.

May Marty rest in the peace of the Lord, and may God bless you all.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss. On a personal note, I will miss my conversations and email with my Classmate.
