Michiko and I extend our deepest sympathies to all the Schwitter family and sadly mourn Bill's passing. Bill and his beloved wife Mary was our window into our association with those who knew them both in the town of Livingston Manor, New York. We shall remember him to those who still recall them both with great fondness as we have seen demonstrated through our over 30 years there. And thanks Bill for giving me some encouragement near the finish line of the very first River Edge Run lo those many years ago.

My condolences to all the Schwitters today. "Mr. Schwitter" (to myself and my siblings) was a good man. I have many fond memories of his smile and kindness whenever I'd see him at St. Patrick's or at my grandparents' house in River Edge. May he rest in peace with his wife, his loved ones and his many, many friends.

To the Family of Schwitter,
I was so very lucky to have met your Father, through the friendship of Patrick Finnegan. My memories of your Dad was his smile and positive energy he gave to whoever he met. I worked as child for the Paulist Fathers and Fr. Reynolds was his classmate and dear friend. He was a great entertainer as was Uncle Pat, Jim Caufield (my Dad) they loved lots and sang lots...My sincere sorry for the lost of a great man....
God Bless all,
Kelly Caufield

Was very sorry to read about your Dad. We had great fun with the Parents show at Holy Angels in the '60s. He was a fine man and I enjoyed coming with the St. Peter's group for Christmas Carols. I was disappointed not to see him this year. God Bless - Maureen Covone

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
