Adolfo Tarasiuk Obituary
TARASIUK Adolfo, 87, of Hawthorne, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, Rochester, NY. We know that his last breath on earth was his first breath in heaven because of his faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Terespol, Poland. His parents immigrated to Brazil with their family in 1933. He and his beloved wife Maria and their four children immigrated to the United States in 1964 and settled in Paterson, NJ. The family moved to Hawthorne, NJ in 1971 and remained there for 35 years. He lived with his daughter in Rochester, NY for the last two years. While still in Brazil, in 1958, Mr. Tarasiuk completed a theological certificate program at the Instituto Biblico Batista in Curitiba, Brazil and served as a lay minister. Mr.Tarasiuk was a master automobile mechanic and skilled craftsman. He worked for over 25 years at Paul' s Motors in Hawthorne, NJ until his retirement. He was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Paterson for over 40 years. He served as an elder and his love for Spanish speaking people lead him to be one of the original founders of the church' s Spanish ministry. In 1981, Mr. Tarasiuk was very proud to become a naturalized American Citizen. Mr. Tarasiuk was predeceased by his wife, Maria Tarasiuk in August 2008. He is survived by his son, Adolfo Tarasiuk, Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Oak Hill, VA; three daughters, Ester Skiff and her husband, David of Rochester, NY, Priscila Walsh and her husband, Ralph of Arlington, TX, and Cristina Dittamo of Connecticut; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Venceslau Tarasiuk of Brazil. A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Ardena Baptist Church cemetery. A memorial service will follow at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 900 Madison Avenue, Paterson, NJ at 3:30 PM. Arrangements by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, New Jersey.
