Ashwin Mahajan Obituary
Ashwin, 36, of Wayne passed away on December 27, 2011.
Born in India he came to the United States in 2001 and has been living in Wayne for the past two years. He was Vice President of IT for J.P. Morgan Chase in New York City.
Beloved husband of Rachael Mahajan (nee Riemersma) of Wayne, formerly of North Haledon. Devoted father of Anjuli Mahajan of Wayne. Cherished son of Neelam Mahajan (nee Kekre) of India and the late Uday Mahajan. Dear brother of Yatindra Mahajan of India.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 2, 2012 from 2-4 PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417 (201) 891-4770.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ashwin's memory to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005.

We remember fondly our dear Ashwin Mahajan, whom we came to know first as a strappy young boy in Abu Dhabi. Spent 4 wonderful years with his family, watching him grow up. He was the elder brother to our daughter Janani there.
We pray for a peaceful rest for him, wherever he is now and Best Wishes to his family.

We came to know this only today and are shocked beyond belief. We know Ashwin from the time we were in Abu Dhabi in the mid Eighties, when his father was my colleague. Remember vividly all the fun we had there. Also remember the time I met Ashwin, near Washington and the short time we met and had lunch in New York, the same year.

when I met you the very first time, you were my customer. Since that first meeting itself, it was obvious that you were a very nice person...personable, always smiling and energetic.

Ashwin was full of energy and great spirit. He had a loud full-on laugh. There is no doubt that people close to him will feel his absence for a long time. I wish they derive comfort from the fact that he is a free soul with no problems anymore. May god give them strength during this difficult time. Hare Krisna!

It is unbelievable for all of us that you have left ..! Having seen you right from the time you were born... and having seen you playing in our hands....your smile, mischiefs, kite flying, and all such activities .... during your childhood days.. in Jaunpur, Hapur and later in Delhi....we can't forget.
Your high volume talks coupled with laugh and jokes....we remember all....
Your way of dramatising on phone with Aaji.... joking with her.... was a style of your own.....!
I still remember your fight with Rahul during our marriage in 1982 when you were just seven..... there are so many memories which I can't count...
I remember talking to you few months back when you said you would be coming to India with Anjuli and Racheal and take them round the country... ! Never imagined that it would never happen...!
