Dorothy Puzon Obituary

PUZON - Dorothy Reynolds, made her transition peacefully. She was a gift to all who knew her. She was an accomplished concert pianist and also taught music at private and public schools. Graduating from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, she received two bachelor's degrees in music and school music. She completed her musical training at the Juilliards School of Music and also earned a master's degree in education at Columbia University. Born in Buffalo, NY, she had resided in Norwood, NJ and retired to Kailua, Hawaii. In later years living in Englewood, NJ, she was the accompanist for the Bergen County Senior Concert Choir from 1990 through 1998. Recently she made her home in Pomona, NY. She is descended from some of the first English colonists who settled in Virginia in 1622. Her ancestors fought in the American Revolution and the Civil War, for both the North and South. She is survived by daughters Virginia in Pomona, NY and Julianne in Hawaii. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, with her late husband Quirino Narag Puzon. Arrangements by Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan, NY.
