Nicholas Longo Obituary

LONGO Nicholas D., 57, of Centralia, Missouri, formerly of New Milford, New Jersey died unexpectedly on Wednesday July 20, 2011 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. Family and friends are invited to attend a mass on Friday July 29th at 10 AM at St. Joseph R.C. Church on Elm St. Oradell, NJ immediately followed by a celebration of his life at New Milford Fire Co. #2 on Trenton St. New Milford NJ. Nick was born on Dec. 22nd, 1953, in Scranton, PA, son of Donato and Florence (Letkiewicz) Longo. Nick is preceded in death by his father Donato Longo. Survivors include his mother Florence Longo of New Milford, NJ and three brothers, Gary Longo of Winthrop, MA, Daniel Longo of New Milford, NJ, and Marc and his wife Sue Longo of Doylestown, PA, his nephews and nieces Ryan and Carissa Longo of Delray Beach, FL, Cailyn, Justin, Conner and Ava Longo of Doylestown, PA. Nick is also survived by his companion Jennifer Wilburn and her children Zach, Michael, Rodney and Jordan. Nick was a longtime volunteer firefighter at New Milford Fire Co. #2, and at Mexico, M.O. Fire Department. He was a self-established restaurateur, owner of Nick's Bar and Grill. He was an avid bowler and loved his motorcycle. Above all, he was a lover of family and friends, he was a great storyteller and a jokester with a laugh that will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Nick Longo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Nick Longo Memorial Fund, 708 Emerald Drive, Centralia, MO 65265.
