CAPONE Samuel, 91, of Hawthorne, formerly of Paterson, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 31.Sam proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during WWII. He worked as a colorist at Brewster Finishing in Paterson before he retired in 1980. Sam was the recipient of three Diamond Glove Awards and one Golden Glove Award. He was inducted into the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame. He was an active member of the Lou Costello Club in Paterson for many years. Sam enjoyed writing and playing golf.Beloved husband of Bette (McGillick) for 68 years and loving father of Joseph and the late Guy Capone, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Brother of Ernest and his wife Rachael of Canastota, NY. Dear father-in-law of Dorothy. Loving grandfather of Carolyn (Dougan), Guy Jr., Andrea, Patricia, Christina and Lisa. Great-grandfather of Paul, Alicia, George, Sabatino, McKenzie, Hayley, Hannah and Becky. Great-great-grandfather of Jaiden Marie.
