Steph,
I think about you every day since this tragedy happened. I knew you well when we were younger, and all I can think of is how you were a good friend to me when I needed you. Although we have not spoken much in the past few years, I want you to know that I was terribly heartbroken by your passing. I cannot even imagine it to be true to this day. I know you are resting peacefully because you were a peaceful person. I know you are remembered in life as a genuinely amazing human and you are not going to be forgotten anytime soon. I really miss you. I miss our friendship. My regret is that we faded and when we all meet up at our CIT 10 year reunion, we will all be thinking of you.

Although we do not know each other and I did not know Stephanie,as a parent I wanted to offer my sincere condolences. Losing a child at any age is one of life's great tragedies. Based on her Professor's comments she sounded like a wonderful Daughter and a sensitive person. I read about this unfortunate accident in UD's dailey on-line news. My connection with UD is that my Son is Vice President of Marketing and Communication for the University. My other connection is that my wife and I grew up in Poughkeepsie and are very familiar with St. Francis Hospital. Again, my sincere condolences on your loss.

I heard of your loss through two friends who knew Stephanie and your family very well. My daughter just chose to attend Delaware in the fall. The tragic loss of someone so young is truly hard to come to grips with. I feel for you Jeff and Elana and your two other children. I have read about Stephanie and she sounded like a wonderful young woman. I can only assume from what I read and what I've heard from friends that you and your family are very special. My prayers are with all of you and with Stephanie.

I don't even know what to say. I spent lots of time with Steph over a few summers at Pinemere, and she was one of the best people that I've ever known. She was so energetic and fun to be around. On top of that, she was always there for me when I needed her, no matter what I needed. I'll love you and miss you forever, Steph. Rest in peace.

I only met Stephanie once - move in day freshman year at UD. My daughter Kelsey's Rodney "economy single" was right next door to Stephanie's, and as we moved her in we had a nice conversation with Stephanie. She was sweet, enthusiastic, and I was so glad that Kelsey had such a wonderful neighbor. Since hearing about her accident yesterday, I have been thinking about her and your family. I am so very sorry for your loss.
