Julia McCluskey

McCLUSKEY Julia, formerly of Teaneck, New Jersey, died of congestive heart failure on February 17, 2011. She was with her family at the time of her death. Julia was the loving wife of William J. McCluskey for 58 years. Her husband died in 2008. Julia was the devoted mother of Michael (d. 1997), Julia Smith and Teresa Sullivan. She was the grandmother of Maureen Sullivan Mauk and Conor, Rory and Patrick Sullivan and Jake, Luke and Zack Smith. She had one great-grandson, Parker Jude Sanchez Smith. Julia was born in Glascow, Scotland in 1922. She lived a great deal of her life in the United States. She became a citizen in November 1964. Julia worked for Morgan Guaranty Bank in New York City retiring in 1985 after nearly 30 years of service. While still a UK citizen Julia was a public servant working as a Trolley conductor in Glascow. During World War II, she supported the war effort by working in an ordinance factory. Julia was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph's R.C. Church, Bogota. She also was a member of the Bergen Irish. Julia McCluskey will forever be remembered for her kindness and acceptance towards all, her zest for life- from Irish dancing to her incredible humor and warm heart. The funeral will leave the Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota, Saturday morning at 9:00 for the funeral Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church at 10:00. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Friday 4-8 PM.
