Barry Wiesner Obituary

Barry Wiesner, 64, of Montclair, died on Sunday, Nov. 20, in Hackensack Medical Center.

Born in the Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Wiesner lived in New York City, Queens and Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Montclair 32 years ago.

After graduating from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Wiesner earned his M.B.A. from Baruch College, part of City College of New York. He was a tax accountant for the Metis Group LLC in New York City for about 10 years, and was a member of the Enrolled Agents.

He was on the Board of Directors of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Cranford.

Mr. Wiesner is survived by his wife, Leslie Wiesner (née Chabon); two sons, Matthew Wiesner of Bloomfield, and Andrew Wiesner of Montclair; his daughter, Rachel Wiesner of Montclair; his brother, Howard Wiesner; and two grandchildren, Kayla and Jayden.

Services were held on Nov. 22 in Jewish Memorial Chapel in Clifton, with interment at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton.
