J. Richard Mehring

MEHRING
J. Richard, 96, of Lewes, Delaware passed away on October 16, 2012.
Born in Brooklyn, New York he lived in Franklin Lakes before moving to Delaware in 1986.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and prior to his retirement in 1986 he was an Accountant and Tax Analyst for the Ebasco Corporation in New York City.
A former parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Franklin Lakes where he was active in many Church related functions he was currently a parishioner of St. Jude The Apostle R.C. Church in Lewes, Delaware.
Beloved husband of the late Gertrude Marie (nee O'Connell) Mehring (1996). Devoted father of Mary Jean Mc Kenna and her husband Kevin of Highland Lakes, the late John Mehring, Joseph Mehring and his partner Michael of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Trudy Roberto and her husband Michael of Wharton, Timothy Mehring and his wife Cathy of Wharton, Paul Mehring and his wife Christine of Sea Girt, Melissa Mehring of Lewes, Delaware and Pamela Mehring of Milton, Delaware. Loving grandfather of Jason, Jessica, Erin, Mary Kate, Colleen, Tatum, Owen and Logan and great-grandfather of Brittany, Chelsey, Piper and Leighton. Dear brother of the late Edward, Marie and Claire Mehring.
Funeral Services Saturday 9:30 AM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. Interment Christ The King Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends on Friday from 6-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Richard's memory to the American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 or the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
