Gabriel Corso Obituary
Gabriel, passed away at his home in Denville, NJ on October 25, 2013. He was 81 years old.
Born and raised in Jersey City, he had lived in Middletown for five years before moving to Denville, NJ earlier this year. Gabriel served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he achieved top awards for marksmanship. He had worked for many years at Standard Brands in Hoboken before becoming a corrections officer in Bergen county where he retired after twenty-five years. Gabriel was the youngest and last surviving of sixteen children.
He is survived by his children Diane and her husband Michael Laidlaw of Denville, Tony and his wife Mary Corso of Allendale and Maria and her husband James Pearl of Bayonne, NJ. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Maggie, Eddie, Julia, Jesse and Adam as well as many nieces and nephews. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Sunday October 27, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834. Interment services will be held Monday October 28, at 11 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
