Christopher CANAVAN Obituary
Christopher A., 29 years old of Westwood, NJ passed away July 6, 2015. Christopher was born in Westwood and lived in the Township of Washington before moving back to Westwood. He was a 2004 graduate of St. Joseph's Regional High School in Montvale. He was an avid movie and film buff. He is survived by his mother, Patricia (MacIver) Canavan; his father Tom Canavan; his brother, Evan Canavan; his grandmothers, Madeline MacIver and Catherine Canavan; his aunts, Barbara MacIver and Eileen Mars; his uncle, Kenneth MacIver and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Kenneth MacIver and Robert Canavan and his uncle James Canavan. Visiting hours will be held on Friday 4-8PM at the Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ. Family and friends can gather for a funeral mass on Saturday 10:30AM at St. Andrew's Church, 120 Washington Ave., Westwood, NJ. Interment will follow in Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family request that a donation in Chris's memory be made to St. Joseph's Regional High School, 40 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Montvale, NJ 07645. Letters of condolences can be written to the family at the Becker Funeral Home website, www.becker-funeralhome.com.
