Paul Edward, 59, of Clifton passed away peacefully on December 8, 2016.
Born in Newark, Mr. Unis was a lifelong resident of Clifton. He had been employed as a Maintenance Planner with Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery in Linden for thirty-six years and was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton. Above all else, Mr. Unis loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, be it hiking, going to the zoo or to his favorite place, the beach.
Mr. Unis was predeceased by his parents, Edward L. and Lois (nee Franklin) Unis.
He is survived by his three devoted children: Lar-issa Unis and son-in-law Felix, Nicole Unis and Bryan Unis, all of Clifton; his former wife and companion, Donna DeBellis, of Clifton; five dear siblings: Raymond Unis and his wife, Roxann, of Haskell, Michael Unis and his wife, Eda, of Clifton, Rosemary Portolano and her husband, Frank, of Parsippany, Carol Carroll of Clifton and Debra Beckman and her husband, Charles, of Belmar; four cherished granddaughters: Kaylee, Ki-ara, Alivia and Lily and one proudly expected grandson.
Funeral services will be Monday 9:15 am from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 10:00 am at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting Sunday from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (www.mskcc.org), 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065 to forward the use of immunotherapy for cancer treatment would be preferred and appreciated.
